We are now in the initial stages of implementing the LNRS for Derbyshire.
We have a new dedicated LNRS officer, Tim Brooks, and are currently in the process of recruiting for the position of an independent Chair of the LNRS.

Environment Agency LNRS animation
The Environment Agency Local Nature Recovery Strategy team have created a short animation to raise awareness that Local Nature Recovery Strategies (LNRS).
This animation explores how LNRS can drive action to reverse nature’s decline. In particular, it focuses on how actions to restore and create habitats will improve the water environment and support species recovery. Those actions will also deliver wider environmental benefits helping people and wildlife adapt to climate change and reduce impacts such as flooding, drought, sea level rise and coastal erosion.
