Who we want to engage with

We want everyone in Derbyshire to talk about the Local Nature Recovery Strategy and have their say about the habitats and species it seeks to protect and enhance.

We want to engage with public, private and voluntary sector organisations, as well as Derbyshire and Derby residents to draw on a wide range of knowledge and ideas.

We held a series of in person and online events in September 2024 to help us speak to as many people and organisations as possible.  See our Updates  page for more information.

Please keep checking back for updates to this webpage as we announce more ways to get involved as the Local Nature Recovery Strategy develops. You can also subscribe to our newsletter to get regular updates on how to get involved sent straight to your inbox: www.derbyshire.gov.uk/LNRS-newsletter

Your contribution

As well as providing the opportunity to take part in online surveys and events, we are keen to speak directly to organisations and individuals who have an interest in nature recovery in Derbyshire. Please get in touch using the form below if you would like to be involved and we would be more than happy to arrange a conversation.

Online consultations

We have launched an online survey to gather views and knowledge on nature recovery issues and priorities from as many organisations and people as possible. You can access the survey here.

We have also launched a separate survey aimed at landowners and land managers to gather the views from this important sector. This survey can be accessed here.

Finally, we will run an online public consultation survey in early 2025 to gather views on the draft LNRS prior to its final approval and publication.
