We were pleased to invite public feedback on the draft Local Nature Recovery Strategy during a consultation period, which ran from Friday 14 February to Thursday 20 March 2025.
We received over 680 responses to our public consultation survey, numerous emails and comments on the draft interactive mapping, whilst over 200 people engaged with us directly at our ‘S.H.E.D.’ public engagement events around the county. Thank you to everyone that took the time to share their views on the draft strategy!
We reviewed every comment received, and wherever possible, we used these to inform, develop and refine the strategy and produce the final version of the LNRS.
The University of Derby led both our online survey work, and the 'Shedding Light on Nature' events, and have produced detailed reports of their findings. These reports are available directly from this page, or from our Resources section.
